Easter Traveler's Notebook Album

If you love traveler's notebooks then you must give this fun mini album a try!  These notebook albums are great for swaps, gifts and because this is Easter-themed, it's perfect for an Easter basket.


For the cover: I took a 12X12 sheet of double-sided paper from the "Hoppy Easter" Collection and trimmed down to 7.25" X 11.25".  Next I scored the 11.25" length at 5 3/8" and 5 7/8".  I used a heat laminator to laminate both sides of the paper but this is optional.  If you look to create these as gifts or to sell I would highly recommend investing in this handy tool!

As you can see above, I punched to small holes into the "spine" of the cover and threaded through white elastic cording to hold the inserts in place.  

For the closure I also added a length of the same elastic cording.  To do so: create a small hold in the center of the spine and insert a knotted band of the elastic through the hole.  I tied on some ribbon from my stash and made a cute embellished tag to match the cover!

For the inside: To the two elastic loops on the inside of the notebook, I created two booklets from smooth white cardstock and a cover of patterned paper.  For each booklet I cut three sheets of white cardstock to measure 7"X10"; the cover measures 7.5"X10.25".  The sheets were folded in half and then sandwiched together.  I did choose to machine stitch down the center of the notebook, but again this optional.  


The notebook pages were decorated with journal cards, greeting cards, doilies, stickers, die-cuts, washi tape, sprinkles and more coordinates! I also made the journal cards interactive by creating them into little flip-up cards.




So whether you add more inserts, dashboards or pockets, the possibilities are endless when designing these fun notebook albums!  I hope that you'll give it a try!

Easter Blessing Egg Shaped Mini Album

Who wouldn't love a pink truck filled with flowers to welcome in Spring! 
This glittery egg-shaped mini album features the newest cuteness from the
  "Simply Spring" and "Hoppy Easter" Collections from 
  By incorporating cut-files from the collection I was able to 
customize the truck to fit on the cover.

The chipboard egg shape was taken from an Easter banner that was purchased 
at The Dollar Tree.  I used the shape to trace and create the inner pages.


 

I also added some of the adorable motifs from the new "Hoppy Easter" Doodle Stamps.











The inner pages were constructed from Doodle Cardstock that was doubled to
 make them extra sturdy.  After cutting out a smaller egg shape from patterned 
papers, they were machine stitched to the center of the pages.  

So cute for an Easter basket stuffer or a mom/grandma for baby's first Easter!  
Mix and match the two newest Spring collections if you'd rather have a theme 
more geared for all-things-spring!
