It's Been A While!

Wow, I tell ya it seems as though my blogging has gone
from feast to famine over the last couple of weeks!
I'm happy to report that I have finished the last of my CHA
projects for Authentique Paper and Simple Stories.  Just wait until you
see all of the beautiful paper lines that these two companies are coming out with!
Halloween and Christmas and Fall and School and, and...
well, that's enough really!
I also received a fun assortment of new goodies from Imaginisce this
past week too.  Yep, more Christmas and Halloween!
Ahhh, I love the smell of ink and paper in the mornin' :)
And to get into the spirit of things, I'm adding lots of songs to my
Christmas Oldies Playlist...life.is.good!

I posted my very last card for I Heart Ippity this week.
After a full year, I've decided to hand over the reigns to someone new!
Here's a peek at the card:

Once again, I've used one of the newest releases for Ippity
Dream to Be
IPK-171

I paired it up with my go-to paper of the month, {Summer Fresh} by Simple Stories.
If you choose to shop Ippity, please make Heather Flaherty your Ippity Chick...
she would so appreciate it!

Unity Hip Hop

Thursday Greetings
and
Welcome to the Unity Hip Hop!
You should be here from the blog of Renee Aslette

I'm using some brand spankin' NEW Unity stamps for
today's hop....here's a little promo to share with ya

{Click on the AD to be taken to the Unity Stamp Co. website}
For this first card, I've used patterned papers from
Simple Stories {Documented} Collection
and Bon Bon Twine by Doodlebug Designs.

When I saw this stamp my first thought was
"the washi tape lovers will swoon over this one!"
I've paired up the stamps with some older My Mind's Eye
and a Jillibean Soup scalloped tag.
And I don't often think of it, but I love running
actual cards through my Big Shot for embossing :)

Thanks for hopping by to see my projects...now it's time to travel
over to Stephanie Muzzulin's Blog, where I know you'll be inspired!

See y'all soon!

EAD Monday

Hello and Welcome
to the
EAD  DESIGNS
MONDAY BLOG HOP & GIVEAWAY
Each and every Monday, the Design Team of EAD share
a vinyl project with you!  Whether you're looking to spruce up a corner
of your home or wanting to make a few cards, EAD has got you covered!

You should be arriving here from Rose's Blog
Be sure to click on the logo above to see the vinyl that's being
given away today :)

I've been waiting to do this.
This past week we had several rooms in our house repainted and
I couldn't wait to add some new art to the walls!

I'm always asking the questions...with three kids...always.
Did you wash your hands?  Did you brush your teeth?
and their favorite...
you did flush, right?
hehehehe
oh, the joys of motherhood!
And I don't know, but there's just something quite comical
about the word "flush" sitting beneath such a beautiful print LOL

You can order this exact vinyl right here...and in just about any
color under the sun.

Now, it's off to our June Guest Designer, Donna's Blog!
Have fun!

Delightful

Greetings and welcome to this week's
UNITY STAMP of the WEEK
This stamp will be available through tomorrow (Saturday),
so grab it before it's too late.

Yep, I've used some old, old, old October Afternoon papers
and a cute paper doily die-cut by Martha Stewart.
Easy and quick card...literally 10-minutes from start to finish!

I'm a fussy-cutter.  I love stamping onto various patterns and cutting the images
out rather than coloring the images in.  This technique doesn't always work for
every stamp, but for this particular stamp, it worked perfectly!

Want to become a Stamp of the Week member?
Visit Unity SOTW right here and find out the details!

And Unity loves sharing good deals...
beat the heat and attend the Unity Garage Sale this weekend!

Have a safe and happy first weekend of Summer!

Monday Blog Hop & Giveaway

Welcome to the EAD
MONDAY BLOG HOP & GIVEAWAY

You should be here from Rose's Happy Place Blog!

For today's card I've chosen the Balloon Craze Rubons
**STICKERZ AND RUBONS SHIP FREE WITH EAD**

I applied the Balloon motif Rubon to a sheet of Simple Stories patterned paper
and trimmed out.  The clear background Sentiment Stickerz blends in perfectly with
the patterned paper!  I just love EAD!
**You can order RUBONS in a HUGE variety of colors**

Now it's time to head over to our Guest Designer for this month...Donna!
Happy Hopping!

Vintage Street Market

Happy Sunday and Happy Father's Day!
I'm up today at the
with not one, not two, but three projects!

First up is a layout; an 8×11 layout to be exact!  I found the perfect sketch from
Page Maps and went from there.  I’ve used patterned papers, cut-out journal square
and a punch-out tag from the Family Fun Paper Kit.  I also punched out a couple of
hearts from one of the patterned papers as well!

To create the pleated accent, I cut 2″ x 12″ strip of paper, punched one edge with a
decorative edge and folded at 1/2″ increments.  Glue the ends together and fan into a circle.
Glue to the top of a 2″ circle and place something heavy on top until the glue has dried.
Vintage Street Market paper is the perfect weight for creating these fun embellishments.

My mom’s birthday was on the 11th of this month and of course she was expecting
a handmade card hehehe…her expectation I could not let down!

Once again you see that I’ve created a pleated embellishment.
This time I used the metallic paper from Dimestore Vogue.   To round the edges,
I used a corner-rounder punch.  For the base of the card,
I layered patterned papers from the Family Fun Paper Kit and hand-cut
the vacuuming woman from one of the pages!
A little tag from the Party Games collection was attached to the side with a ribbon bow
and paper flowers from my stash.  With my home computer and printer, I printed
the sentiment onto the piece of paper as shown.  The inside of the card simply read
 “and have a happy birthday!”
 She loved it!

 Finally…and I LOVE this…is my Patriotic-decked-out-BINGO-card-hanger!
I have a small wired dress form on the side of my craft desk.
On this I like to attach something fun that reflects the holiday or season…
it adds a little happiness to my clutter and makes me smile.

Isn’t it great?!?  Can you sense my delight and love LOL
And I have to admit, Vintage Street Market BINGO Craft Cards are my favorite product.
The versatility with the various sizes and colors are endless!  I layered one of the large red cards
with a medium royal blue one.  From my stash, I glittered a chipboard star and layered
it with a glittered scalloped circle, vintage milk cap and patriotic embellishments.
The perimeter of the red card was lined out in Red Twirly Twine.
I'm so happy to add it to my collection of little hangers :)

See you all in a couple of days...glad you've stopped by!

File It Under FRESH!

Fridays are Earth Friendly at
AUTHENTIQUE PAPER BLOG
Who doesn't love taking something old, used or unexpected
and turning it into something with a new life and purpose?
For this Friday's project I used an old file folder.
By trimming away the top tab, I had a brand new slate to begin with.

I cut three strips of {Fresh} patterned paper, inked around the edges and then machine-stitched
to the folder (leaving the top portion open).  I then embellished with a bit of roping at the top, scalloped borders and cotton trim, adhesive pearls and a pieced plaque hung by a wooden clothespin.
If you love distressing with ink like I do, then you will love how beautiful the effect looks over the texture of Authentique paper.
A row of the adhesive tags from the {Fresh} Details 12x12 Sticker Sheet completes the bottom.
For the inside of my fully-functional-file-folder-holder?  Why, handmade {Fresh} tags of course!
I went online to svgcuts.com and found these really great layered tags.  Tag making has never been easier...or more fun.
Here are samples of the tags that I created for the inside of the folder:
I think that canvas and burlap and jute look great paired up with beachy sorts of projects...
so if you have those items in your stash, grab 'em up for this project :)
I machine stitch just.about.everything.  Even sticker letters.
Wanting to take the sticky off of those stickers?  Just apply a little baby powder to the back...voila!
Oh and I forgot to mention corrugated clouds...why not?
Wooden buttons?  yes, please!
And isn't the subway-art look of this (above) sticker just the coolest?
I could literally make a card using each and every Details Stickers on the sheet...
the graphics are that beautiful...even down to the tiniest of seashells.
Grab those nautical stamps and scalloped punches...perfect for tag-topping!
And for this final tag: I cut the wonderful sentiment from the bottom sheet
of a {Fresh} patterned paper! I love that you can use every square inch of Authentique product.
This was such a tremendously FUN project for me...I hope that you've
enjoyed it too!
If you love Color Challenges, stop by the Authentique Blog and check
out the Challenge for June...all you need to do is link up!
Link as many projects as you'd like and you'll be in the running for some
beautiful Authentique papers :)

Have a blessed weekend

Tool Time

Yep, it's kinda like the show from the '90's: Home Improvement.
But we're talking scrappin' tools instead of wrenches and ban saws!
This month at Imagnisce's Blog is
 TOOL EXTRAVAGANZA

Each Design Team Member was asked to choose a tool to create
a couple of projects with for the month.  I chose the I-Rock Mini Iron.
Not only is it adorable because of its cute mini size, collapsible handle and color
but it's the perfect tool for ironing out crinkled ribbon, putting a pleat in fabric or
attaching an iron-on applique to a pair of jeans!

For my first project I created a headband for Sydnee, aka: the headband-queen!

Fold 1" loops of ribbon and fold back onto itself; iron down with Mini Iron.
Attach length of ribbon to headband.
Imaginisce Products: black headband, neutral fabric flowers, I-Magi Cut,
large Twist Daddy.

Next up...showing how to use the same ribbon recipe on a card.

Imaginisce Products: Mini Iron, Hello Cupcake Patterned Papers and Chipboard Sticker

Would you like to win a load of cool Imaginisce Tools?
Come on over and comment and you'll be placed in the hopper for
tons of giveaways...THREE to be exact :)

Thanks for stopping in....Happy Friday!

DREAM TO BE
IPK-171

Isn't this the sweetest set of stamps?  Here's my card:

After stamping onto a light blue background, I water-colored the bird and
then cut out into an oval shape.  I also stamped the image onto green so that I could
hand-cut the leaves out.
Patterned paper: Basic Grey
The sentiment fits perfectly into the tag shape of the EK Success punch.

Love nice, BIG background stamps?
Here is the perfect one for you then
SCRIPTED ENVELOPE

Uncle Sam Goes Summer Fresh

Hello again, Monday!
If you are here for the
PAPER ISSUES BLOG HOP
please click --here--
I'm excited to be sharing a couple of things for
SIMPLE STORIES
today.

First up is Uncle-Sam-Gets-A-Summer-Makeover!
I love decorating my home in an Americana theme during the Summer...
yep, it's all decked out in red, white and blue...from the front door to the back door
and several spots in between.  I wanted something  patriotic to grace the end table
in our living room; this decoration is perfect!

I found this adorable SVG file for Uncle Sam's hat at www.svgcuts.com.
When I spotted it, I knew that {Summer Fresh} would look so good on it!
It may look complicated, but it was actually very simple to put together.

I wanted to include a nice vertical element, so I added the three scalloped
circles embellished with {Summer Fresh} patterned papers, cardstock stickers
and adhesive pearls from my stash.  I used bamboo skewers and attached them to
the back of the hat with a quick dry glue (or a glue gun would work nicely).

My daughter is having a Swimming Party this month and of course when
you're a papercrafter, people expect a handmade invitation...
{Summer Fresh} was ideal for this!

I've used one of the medium-sized Memorabilia Pockets for this sample,
but having all of the invitations look different in size and design would be a nice change-up.
A bubble mailer comes in very handy when you get ready to mail these too!

I cut a sheet of {Summer Fresh} patterned paper just a little bit larger than the pocket.
On the front, I embellished the wagon with Prima flowers and adhesive pearls.

Now, aren't these just Summer Fresh?!?
I love 'em!
Thanks for coming by...have a great week!
