Valentine Tag Gift Card Holders

 Treat your friends, co-workers, and family to these cute 'n easy TagGift Card Holders!

I started with two different sized premade tags (3"X6" and 2.5"X5.25").  The bottoms of the tags were scored and folded up (red- 2.25" flap and white-1.25"flap). Make sure that the final length of your tag can accommodate a gift card.
 Paper gussets were used to attach the flap to the base of the tag. I also corner rounded the bottom edges!


To the pockets, I added either a small strip of paper or a die-cut.  I also lined the top of the red tag's pocket with a strip of washi tape.



I used the "Pumpkin Spice" Doodle stamps and copic markers to color in the drink cups.  Sentiments from the set were also used to stamp onto the die-cut tags and pocket front!


The tops of the tags were embellished with handmade bows and chunky twine for hanging!
After tucking in a gift card, add the tag to a bag filled with k-cups, a mug handle or a small bottle of creamer :)

Gift Card Holder

I have a really easy tutorial for a gift card holder using 
BASIC GREY's
new "B-Side" collection and embellishments.

  This only takes a few minutes to whip together, so make several to have on-hand!

 First, cut your favorite pattern of “B Side” paper to 4 1/8” X 12”. 
 Place the paper horizontally onto a scoring board.  
Score at 2.5, 3.5, 4.5, 5.5, 6.5 and 9.5 inches.

 Fold along the lines in the above fashion.

 Turn the paper over so that inside pattern is facing down.  Place a high tack adhesive tape along both sides of the 4.5” score line.  Tape each piece to the opposite side.


 
 Turn the paper back over so that the inside pattern is facing up. 
Place a small piece of high tack adhesive tape along the two edges of the
 tabs as shown above.  You now have a secure slot/pocket for any standard gift card!

If you would like to add a tab closure to the front: 
Use a 1” round die and tape it to the top of a piece of ship board so that only
 HALF of the die is exposed to the paper.  Secure to the bottom edge of the
 flap with washi tape and die-cut. 

Corner round the edges of the front flap if you wish.  Decorate with various
 embellishments from the collection and it’s ready for giving!

Cantina Time!

Whether you have plans to embellish invitations
for a drinks-by-the-pool party or a girl's  night out,
this brand new die set, "Party Drinks" from 
TOP DOG DIES
can be used in so many clever ways!

I die cut the margarita glass from turquoise and then a light yellow cardstock. 
 I kept the 'drink' portion of the yellow cardstock and shaded around the edge with 
a darker yellow watercolor pencil.  I glued the glass pieces in place on
 top of a die-cut Vintage Frame.  

 Next, I added a thin bead of glue to the rim of the glass and applied some
 chunky clear glitter to resemble the salt.  I chose the little umbrella for 
my drink and adhered it in place.

 
 For the gift card: Cut a piece of cardstock to measure 5"W X 7"H. 
 Place the cardstock onto a score board and score at 1.75" and at 4.5"; 
fold along the scores.  
Decorate the front flap and inner flap with a smaller measure 
of colored cardstock or patterned paper. 
 Adhere the sides of the gift card holder portion with a strong adhesive tape.  

You could also use the dies for drink markers, place cards, a gift
card around a bottle of wine, etc.

A Giving Heart

Hello again!
I'm getting back on track this week with my Friday post for
TOP DOG DIES

By using the Heart Album Finishers Dies, this card came together within a few minutes!
I cut the patterned papers from Doodlebug Design's Lovebirds Collection.
To create the pocket for the gift card:

Apply foam dots to the back of the scalloped heart (making sure that there is
enough room for the card to be tucked into) and then attach it to the front of the heart.

I wanted to attach the heart to an actual 'card' so I folded a piece of white carstock
in half and placed the heart die along the crease (as shown above) before cutting.

Line the two pieces up and adhere together.

And now you have an area to write a little note!

Aside from a gift card, you can tuck in cash or your own handmade coupons.
February 14th will be here before we know it...this die-set will help you to create
all sorts of fun projects for the month of LOVE!

Gift Card Holders

Friday's Free-4-All Project at Bella Blvd: Creative Ways To Give Gift Cards
The Design Team has made some really clever and unique designs...you can see them all at

To create this gift card holder choose any shape die-cut (larger than a gift card) and have 
a roll of foam adhesive handy to make a pocket.


 After die-cutting the shape, place the gift card on the back and mark its placement 
(depending on how much of the card you want to show). Adhere the foam tape to the edge of
 the markings and then attach to the card front. The gift card will slide down into the pocket with ease. 
Layer on a smaller die-cut shape, buttons and cute stickers!

Supplies: Countdown to Christmas- Believe Paper; Borders Paper; Christmas Paper; Tree Park Paper; Alpha+Bits; Button Market- Tie Dye

Find a die-cut shape that is a bit larger than a gift card and cut it out twice. 
I've used this cute jar shape by Sizzix and stitched the front and back papers together with 
a zig-zag stitch around the edge.

 Decorate the front with a border of photo-corner stickers that have been layered together and top 
with a sentiment sticker. Quick, easy and a great stocking stuffer!

I don't have too many projects waiting in the wings to share before Christmas.
Manufacturers are focused on the Winter CHA show and those of us lucky
enough to create things for their booths will be working steadily between now
and the New Year.  Lots of great things to look forward to and I can't
wait to see all of those lovely new releases and share in the excitement with all of you :)

A Money Challenge


We had quite the fun challenge for "Cards on Thursdays" at Bella Blvd today:
Create a money or gift card holder.

So here is what I came up with...I really had to find the out-of-the-box zone on this one LOL
Birthday Wishes Money Card
For this card I was inspired by the party hat shape on the Cute Cuts paper. 
To begin, I set out folding a bill into a triangle shape that best matched the size of the party hat. 



 Next, I cut slits into the background paper and inserted the bottom two points through them. 

 I attached the Cute Cuts hat to the background paper and then tied the folded money in place 
with a ribbon bow. The hippo cut-out was then added over the party hat motif with foam dots.

 Sweet Birthday Gift Card Holder
My mom's birthday is coming up, so I crafted this card with her in mind! 
 She's very hard to buy for, so a gift card is always a good idea. I started out by using 
my die-cut circles to cut a 5" circle from a green paper, a 4" circle from a plain green cardstock 
and then a 3.25" circle from a red paper. I folded the largest circle in half and cut along the mark. 
Next, I machine-stitched around the bottom edge to form a pocket. 
The other two circles halves were layered on top and then embellished.

Totally Terrific Thursday

Hello, it's time for a little
TOTALLY TERRIFIC THURSDAY
with I Heart Ippity!

Today I have a really fun and easy project:
Gift Card Holder
Using a premade pocket, makes this so quick
to put together.

I've used 
JAVA FRIEND

Using two different patterned papers really makes the heart pop!
I hand-cut a couple of flowers and embellished the centers with pearls.
The "love you a latte" was simply printed using my home computer.

Dress up with stamp with some masculine papers and you
have a great gift card holder for Father's Day!
