Double-The-Fun December Daily

Happy Wednesday!
Today I'm sharing my very own
2018 DECEMBER DAILY

This isn't your ordinary December Daily assembly though...
I've created mine by combining the adorable-country-themed
collection "Merry & Bright" from Simple Stories, along with
the Mini Album Kit from Pailsey's & Polka Dots!

I followed the instructions from the Mini Album Kit (Julie
provides you with awesome-detailed instructions) to create the car.
Next, I attached it to the front of the SN@P! Album with Crafty Foam
Adhesive Tape by Scrapbook Adhesives.
I used a fine-point Sharpie to write our family name along the
side of the car so that it's really personalized!

Because the pre-cut holes of the album didn't quite match up with
the rings of the album, I modified by punching new holes with
a Crop-A-Dile.  I moved some of the strips of paper around too to
hide the original holes.

I alternated the chipboard pages from the kit with the various
designs of sleeves found in the SN@P! Album.  I also planned
around the cool die-cut numbers that can be found at Simple Stories.

Next I will be sharing a TON of pictures of the rest of the album.

It's BLAH Around Here!

It's definitely BLAH around here.  All three kids have had a fever at some point during the past five days. I started feeling the tickle in my throat last night while working and thought "uh-oh!"...luckily for me, being in the healthcare field has awarded me with a pretty stout immune system so I rarely get really sick...we'll see though...I've probably jinxed myself.
I'm relieved that the kids are out of school now and in the nick time!  Pretty ironic that they've made it all school year without too many illnesses and now they're all down and out. Gotta get them well and quick, though!  Vacation Bible School starts next week AND Sydnee's dance recital is next weekend;  looks like a busy summer schedule all ready.  Ninety-eight degrees tomorrow and ninety-nine on Friday= why I'm not that crazy about S-U-M-M-E-R.  I really try to love it, but it's not for me...I'm ready for F-A-L-L!

I didn't have a chance to upload my latest project before it sold at Dot & Whimsy...but here it is!  I purchased the kit from Paisleys and Polka Dots and still have quite a few pieces leftover to complete another small album.
I love that the pages are pre-cut, which is perfect for odd shaped chipboard pages like scallops and zig-zags.  I didn't realize how much time that I actually spend on preparing base pages until I started working on this project. Everything pieced together quickly. I put my own twist on things (straying from the instructions a bit) so that I could offer more of a one-of-a-kind album.  It's left me wanting MORE of the Toy Box collection from Crate Paper :)  It looks fabulous all inked-up and distressed!

Got my new collection of October Afternoon in today.  Let's just say that I can't wait to PLAY!  Modern Homemaker is absolutely one of my favorites of all time.
I'm hoping that this will inspire me to get some scrappin' done tomorrow.  My mom's birthday is in a few days, so I have an 8x8 album planned...and maybe a few cards...it's been a bit since I've done any of those.
Hope you're all having a Happy Hump Day!
Blessings~
