It is up!

My newest project for Little Yellow Bicycle.

Using their beautiful denim and wild-life inspired Saturday's Collection, I again created a mini album...go with what you know, right? :)

When I got my package and started sorting through the goodies, I knew immediately that I would turn this set of 6x6 textured Decorative Cardstock

into the base pages for the album!

When you have beautiful embellishments to go along with the patterned papers, it makes putting an album together so quick and easy.  I have detailed instructions up at the LYB Blog.

If you love burlap, twine, felt, wood and denim, then you will be over-the-moon-crazy for this collection!

I thank the Little Yellow Bicycle team for once again giving me the opportunity to do something FUN with their always wonderful products!

I finally got to break out my February 

My Scrapbook Nook kit!

This kit was filled with the cute and rugged Sasparilla patterned papers and embellishments from October Afternoon...I almost didn't want to cut into it...you know how it is!

I made this adorable mini album

I actually am trying out Ebay again...Etsy sales are a little slow, so I thought I'd see if I could ramp up some biz auction style :)  Don't you just love it?!?

Speaking of The Nook...have you seen the March kit?

With St. Patrick's Day just around the corner, I decided to do a fun wall plaque that I could hang in my scrap room.  Of course, my daughter fell in love with it...she's always called herself  'a little bit leprechaun' :)

I used the IRISH SWEETS Stickerz from EAD, along with patterned papers and tin-type alpha letters from October Afternoon, ribbon from May Arts and the sweet scalloped chipboard from Maya Road.  Oh and of course, another one of my crafting staples...flat back pearl accents :)  

I love it!  looks so happy in my scrap nook.

For the card (and I seem to do this a lot) I stamped the dress image onto two different patterned papers (this is one reason why I love paper pads!) and then carefully cut them out, choosing to only cut out one dress from one of the papers.

Jingle Belles, Jingle Belles, Jingle Belles Rock all year long!

I love Christmas and I love the concept of the Jingle Belles Rock blog.  It's a place where they create Christmas and Holiday cards year 'round!

Here is the card that I made

using the cute Christmas Owl from the Holiday Owl Stickerz Sheet along with some scrap papers from October Afternoon, buttons and rhinestones.  This card is actually 2-in-1 as the owl motif can be removed and used as an ornament or package tag! 

Whoooo doesn't love some owls?  Especially owls as cute as these!  EAD has the cutest designs ever put on vinyl.

It's just about that time...time for my class to begin at

Miss Art's Papercrafting School!

That's right!  I'll be showing how to easily incorporate and achieve the visual triangle in a layout, how to use and construct your own grid for a layout, how to distribute color and embellishments in an odd manner and finally, we'll put all of these concepts together in a final layout :)

I hope that you'll come by and check it out.  This is a great class for beginning scrapbookers or those who would like to take their pages to a different level.

This week at Imaginisce: 1 Product, 2 Ways:
Rolie Rosies

As the title implies, we were asked to take the Rolie Rosie product and use it in two different ways, so I decided on a card and gift tag.

For the card, I used the Rolie Rosies Brights (Yellow), a large and small scalloped circle, a 2" circle (cut in half) and a small punched heart (mine is 1.5")

 Layer as shown.  I also used the little banner print from the BIRTHDAY BASH papers by Imaginisce.

For the eyes, glue two brads into the center of each Rolie Rosie and attach.

Here's the final project:

I love him!  In the early 90's, crows were the 'big' thing and I had a kitchen full of them :)  So nice to bring it back in form of a card.

For this tag I used the Rolie Rosies Neutrals, a couple of scalloped tags (Stampin Up) that I layered together, paper leaves, rubon and pretty ribbon.  Imaginisce has a large variety of Rolie Rosies and the Hybrid Petal Roller that makes rolling these babies a breeze!  After rolling the flower, I unwound it and then rolled the 'petals' just a little and then rewound it. The I-Bond glue gun is perfect for adhering your flower together and for adding gems, buttons or pearls to the center.

I've had a plain mirror hanging above my fireplace mantel for awhile...I know that designers will tell you not to place a mirror over a fireplace because all you see in the reflection is the ceiling!  But, what's a girl to do when it's the only thing that you have that fits the space?

So I was eccstatic when I found this sweet vinyl...perfect for my mirror don't you think?

Whew, I'm finally getting to blog a couple of things that I had intended to share yesterday...house cleaning got in the way; can you believe that?

For Totally Teriffic Thursday, I used one of the new Itty Bitty stamps, Friendship Rainbow.

I created this Valentine treat bag using a standard white gift bag and embellishing with the sweet black/cream dot from the back of the “Meghan Kay” paper (Family Fun). I handcut the lady in blue from the Dimestore Vogue paper sheet and attached her to the front of a red heart-shaped doily using foam dots. On the inset of the doily, I cut a small heart from the Dimestore Vogue paper sheet and adhered. I also added a running stitch of black/white baker’s twine inside the perimeter of the heart and tied it into a bow. Four shiny blue hearts were punched from the Fancy Foil Sheet, machine stitched down the center and then added to the bag front. To finish off, I added a strip of the blue gingham paper, topped with a large black ric-rac and vintage red buttons to the bottom of the design. A small red heart was added to the dress for a pop of color. I printed out the words “I would be blue without you, Valentine, so please be mine” onto cardstock, trimmed to size and then attached. That’s it! My hubby loves Ghiradelli chocolates, so I tucked in a couple of packages of candies and added a little tissue paper before gifting.
