Hi, everyone!

I had the pleasure of attending a wonderful retreat

this past weekend with a bunch of awesome ladies!  

We crafted, scrapbooked, stamped & bible-journaled until

our hearts were content!  

One day I took a break from my daughter's album and made

this sweet little cake-shaped mini album using an oldie from 

I decided it was time to make something with it!

All-righty...let's get started!

I love ribbon.  I use ribbon on almost every single project that I make.

It adds that soft texture which, to me, completes a look.

 My first card is pretty simplistic:

Unity: June 2012 Kit-of-the-Month

Ribbon Carousel: Blue Striped Grosgrain Ribbons

Patterned Papers: October Afternoon

Okay, so I'll admit...I was a little afraid to try this next trick, but in the 

end I threw caution to the wind and said 'what the heck!"

You've guessed it:  I stamped onto the actual ribbon and then carefully

trimmed out with a pair of super sharp fine-tipped scissors.

Be sure to use a solvent ink such as Staz-On so that the image

doesn't bleed.

Hello!

Hope you're having a nice Saturday.

I put the finishing touches on a new little mini album

today and got it loaded to Etsy before the hubs and I ran a 

few errands.  Although it sold while I was out, I  still wanted to share it :)

 Below are close-up photos of each page.
I used October Afternoon's sweet and whimsical CAKEWALK Collection.

 The colors are cotton-candy sweet...if I had a cottage, it would be all
decked out in these lovely vintage colors :)
I felt like a kid again while putting the album together...such fun!

I'm a fussy-cutter.  I love stamping onto various patterns and cutting the images

out rather than coloring the images in.  This technique doesn't always work for 

every stamp, but for this particular stamp, it worked perfectly!

With St. Patrick's Day just around the corner, I decided to do a fun wall plaque that I could hang in my scrap room.  Of course, my daughter fell in love with it...she's always called herself  'a little bit leprechaun' :)

I used the IRISH SWEETS Stickerz from EAD, along with patterned papers and tin-type alpha letters from October Afternoon, ribbon from May Arts and the sweet scalloped chipboard from Maya Road.  Oh and of course, another one of my crafting staples...flat back pearl accents :)  

I love it!  looks so happy in my scrap nook.
