February's Color Challenge
Isn't that a beautiful board...a collection of my favorite colors!
Here's my card using papers by Doodlebug and one of the stamps from the
January's Unity Stamp Kit-of-the-Month
This was so simple to put together...I love the idea of using this coffee mug to top off
any card that contains a gift card to someone's favorite coffee shop.
I purchased the little white paper sack from Scrapbooker's Emporium and
stamped the image directly onto it. Next, I stamped the image onto the aqua paper, as
well as the pink dot paper. I applied the cut-out mug onto the sack image with a foam square
and then topped with the cut-out pink heart.
A heart stick pin was inserted into the foam square on the back of the mug and
then tied with a bow of twine from Doodlebug.
February's Sketch Challenge
I think it's so cool that the sketch reflects a couple of the stamps featured in the
January Kit-of-the-Month! I took a bit of a different angle, but still used the super-cute
mixed-media styled border stamp for my card.
To begin, I cut a piece of white cardstock down to the size needed to fit the card-front.
I placed a scalloped die-cut chipboard heart (Scrapbooker's Emporium) onto the paper and then
spritzed a couple of times with Guava Spray by Stephanie Barnard (Clearsnap). On the second
spritz, I focused more on the left edge so that it would have a blended look.
After allowing the spritz to completely dry, I stamped on the border image with a black
Staz-On ink. I also stamped the image onto a turquoise cardstock and cut the larger hearts from it.
I applied them over the card with a glue pen and then stitched each with an X of white thread.
The sentiment was stamped to the same turquoise paper and added to the bottom, followed by
a border of doily paper. I found the sweet heart buttons at Wal-Mart...they matched perfectly!

I haven't had a chance to craft with one of
Authentique's newest collections, Original,
so I thought this hop the perfect venue to do so...
especially paired up with the gorgeous "Share Your Smile"
Itty Bitty Authentique/Unity co-branded stamp!
I stamped the wire dress form image in a vibrant blue
Kaleidacolor by Imagine Craft and colored in lightly with a blue watercolor.
All of the patterned papers and stickers are from the Original Collection.
I've had the pleasure of hosting this month's Unity Challenge: Pumpkins.
Here are two samples that I made for it!
Both were created using a shape and background stamp from the
Unity August Kit-of-the-Month
I invite you to come on over and play along with us!
**Deadline is November 14th**

the job done right! But, I still love, love, love her artwork...who wouldn't?

Unity Stamp Blog Hoppers
You should be arriving here from the blog of the talented and sweet Renee Aslette.
Should something go awry during the hop, just head back over to the
For this hop I've broken out some brand new stamps
that I haven't had a chance to work with yet.
They've been eyeing me and I've been eyeing them right back ;)
I love any round stamp that can be punched out with one of my circle punches!
The "Count Your Blessings" image is from the
Country Pumpkin Chowder by Jillibean Soup
I coupled it with different papers and journal spots from Jillibean :)
I've loved this next stamp, "Sending My Love" for quite some time.
I made this next card with a very special friend in mind ♥
I used a combination of colored pencils, water-color pencils and Zig Markers.
After shading with the colored pencils I went back over with a coordinating
water-color pencil and then blended with water. I was also able to obtain
some shadows and shading with this method as well.
After stamping the main image, I went back and added some red ink
to the 'flag' on the stamp and then stamped the image and cut out. I love the
3-D effect that it gives along with the silver brad.
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
That wraps it up for me on this hop...now it's time to have a
visit with the stamping sensation, Shilo Miles!
Thanks for dropping by!

Welcome, one and all!
I'm really excited about this week's
UNITY HIP HOP
because we get to share brand spankin' new
designs from the very talented, Phyllis Harris...whoot!
Okay, first things first: you should be arriving here
from the wonderful blog of Robyn Weatherspoon.
If you missed the blog line up, just hop on over to the
to get started in the right direction :)
Not only brand new kits, but a wonderful mark-down as well.
I had a blast crafting these two cards...
the hand-drawn faces say it all!
I wasn't too crazy about the shading that I did on the
dress, so I figured 'why not add glitter?'
My motto is: a multitude of sins can be hidden with glitter LOL
Patterned papers by Imaginisce
With the tutu, I knew I'd have to add a bit of tulle somewhere so I
tied a small bit into a bow and attached to the front.
Patterned papers by Simple Stories
And as if the deals just couldn't get any better....
Unity definitely knows how to have a good sale!
That's all from me today...now off to see what beautiful creations
Shemaine Smith has whipped up for us.
Y'all have fun!

| {Click on the AD to be taken to the Unity Stamp Co. website} |
For this first card, I've used patterned papers from
Simple Stories {Documented} Collection
and Bon Bon Twine by Doodlebug Designs.
When I saw this stamp my first thought was
"the washi tape lovers will swoon over this one!"
I've paired up the stamps with some older My Mind's Eye
and a Jillibean Soup scalloped tag.
And I don't often think of it, but I love running
actual cards through my Big Shot for embossing :)
Thanks for hopping by to see my projects...now it's time to travel
over to Stephanie Muzzulin's Blog, where I know you'll be inspired!
