Oh how we Authentique girls love a blog hop with Canvas Corp!
This is the second hop that we've conjured up with them since I've
been on the Authentique Design Team...the two companies are made
for each other :)
This time of year always has me thinking about gifts to give
for Christmas. When I received the beautiful Canvas Corp Painter's Tray,
I knew it would be the perfect gift for my mom filled with pictures of
my kids and the gorgeous Authentique Original embellishments!
After printing and placing my photos, I began decorating the
top three panels with Original papers, stickers and die-cut flower.
For the flwoers, I used the "Rolled Daisy" die by mftstamps.com.
With Authentique papers you don't have to worry about flimsy flowers!
From the Canvas Corp Denim Sheets, I hand-cut two large hearts
and backed each one with cotton batting. I then used my sewing machine
to stitched the two pieces together. You could also stitch the denim
to a heavy chipboard or felt if you don't have batting on hand.
I glued the burlap banners from Canvas Corp, directly onto the frame using
a fabric glue. A few thick foam dots were added in places where the
banners may bend.
I love digging through years and years worth of stash and finding just the right
chipboard letters...these were just the right size for the banners :) Win, Win!
Now we're finished and ready for gift-giving...Merry Christmas, Mom!

I wanted to make something really clean and simple for
this week's blog hop. I pulled out a zebra-striped skinny card
from Canvas Corp and an older scrap paper from American Crafts.
After fussy cutting around a collage of flowers, I added it to the
card front. So unlike me! I almost always 'layer' with at least one mat of paper :)
I've used a couple of different STICKERZ from EAD.
layered onto the top of the scrolled frame.
A couple of pearls and bakers twine and I'm done!
Off now to see what Miss Amy has in store for us today!
