Grace Alone

Grace: It is actually my "word" for 2016.
To show more grace and to be thankful for the grace that has been shown to me.
So many times I pray to be given the "grace to get me through" a certain situation and
in those times I can feel God's presence as He guides me and gives me the
right words and actions to put forth.
Grace= unmerited favor.

Yesterday I was up on the Bella Blvd Blog with
this sweet "Grace Alone" hanger

I love adding little hangers to cupboard knobs or giving them for gifts!
Today I have a colorful, house-shaped hanging featuring the
Whatever Is Lovely Collection and stickers from the Illustrated Faith line.

I started with a chipboard house shape that I covered with patterned paper.
I used large enamel dots to outline the scallops of the roofline. The front of the
house was decorated with one of the 3X4 journal cards and a border of the
 die-cut scallop sticker.

Before dressing the back of the house with patterned paper, pom pom trim
was glued around the edge, as well as baker’s twine. I hand-cut four butterflies
from the “Lovely Paper” and layered a smaller one on top of a larger one before
attaching them. The ‘tails’ of the butterflies were cut from one of the label stickers.
A cheery ribbon was added to the top and is now ready for hanging!
Supplies:
Illustrated Faith Genesis Kit: Banner Stickers; IF Whatever is Lovely:
Treasures & Text, Lovely, 3x4’s; Enamel Dots: Cotton Candy, Bell Pepper

Glad you stopped by!

Scripture Calendar

It's that time of year to start thinking about calendars for next year!
Plus they make great Christmas gifts for a secret pal, teacher or friend.
I have a simple tag style calendar up at
BELLA BLVD
this week...come take a look at how I put it all together:

It's a great place to jot down favorite scriptures or scriptures to read,
prayer requests, birthdays and special moments!

Prayer Request

Hello!  I was up on the Bella Blvd Blog yesterday with
with my first Bella Blvd-Illustrated Faith assignment
. Even before I was asked to join the creative team, I had in mind to
make a "Prayer Request" journal just for Facebook. A day doesn't go by that
I don't have a handful of Facebook friends asking for prayer or a story in
my newsfeed that grips my heart.

For my project I have taken a spiral bound journal that was actually a freebie that
my hubby came home with. You can find many types of inexpensive journals and
notebooks in most dollar stores, so I hope you'll be inspired to make your own!
First, I cut the Color Chaos down just a bit smaller than the album cover.
I used a Xyron Creative Station to adhere it in place. A strip of washi tape was
placed along the side where the patterned paper meets the linen binding
 on the notebook.

Next, I cut down one of the journal stickers and embellished it with sticker
pieces from the Illustrated Faith Collection, as well as Enamel Dots and ribbon
from my stash. Now I have a place to jot down all of the prayer requests...
I don't want to forget a single one!

 Supplies:
Illustrated Faith: Label It stickers, Mini Mint to Be stickers, Fold It stickers,
Love It stickers, By Grace washi tape; Color Chaos: Pickle Juice Strandz, Just Write Journaling Stickers; Scattered Sprinkles: Treasures & Text; Enamel Dots: Ice

Bella Blvd + Illustrated Faith

I'm beginning a new journey, while revisiting an old friend!

I was extremely excited at the offer to join the
BELLA BLVD
side of the Illustrated Faith Creative Team!
Having been with Bella Blvd as a card and altered designer
for a couple of years, I jumped at the chance to be a part of this new
endeavor that Stephanie and the Bella team was embarking upon.
While I do plan on sharing artwork in my own journaling bible, for
now I will be showing some other ideas for using the beautiful
products: cards, altered books/journals, home decor, etc.

Here is a peek at what I'm working on:

I will be sharing my newest project at the Bella Blvd Blog next
Tuesday, so please come over and take a look :)
The Illustrated Faith team has been introduced on the blog
and they have some amazing peeks of their artwork!

Color Chaos

It's time for a bit of "unlimited inspiration" from
BELLA BLVD
this week!  Today the new "Color Chaos" collection projects are being shared.
Check out the blog to see even more ideas :)

I have three cards that were designed for the booth at CHA:
“Count Your Blessings” card
By placing two of the diagonal striped patterns going in the opposite direction, an
eye-catching herringbone pattern is created. The journal card is so beautifully done
in color and fonts, so only a couple of embellishments were needed to complete the card.
A small section of the scalloped border sticker was added with foam adhesive.

Supplies: Color Chaos: Gulf Strandz, Peep Strandz, Orange Strandz, Just Write
Journaling, Trinkets, Treasures & Text; Simply Spring: Chipboard Icons; Enamel Dots: Ice

 “Best Version of You” card
Use simple-shaped die-cuts to give a different look to journal cards. Here, I die-cut
a mat from a Clear Cut sheet and then layered it on top patterned paper, which was
cut the same size. The red enamel heart gave a pop of color to the journal card and
the bottom was softened with the addition of a Bella Bow.

Supplies: Color Chaos: Oreo Black Strandz, Gulf Strandz, Daily Details, Words of
Wisdom, Trinkets; Clear Cut: Ice Confetti; Enamel DooDads: McIntosh; Bella Bows: Ice

 "Celebrate Today" card
Cut a mat to be the same height as the 3X4 journal card; center the journal card horizontally
and then flank each side with pieces of the scalloped border sticker. Adding enamel dots
to the centers of the scallops gives extra dimension and also draws attention to the
outline of the shape. Embellish with a cute chipboard shape and the card is complete!

Supplies: Color Chaos: McIntosh Strandz, Ice Strandz, Words of Wisdom,
Treasures & Text; Ciao Chipboard: Flowers & Clouds; Enamel Dots: Bell Pepper

It was such fun and a pleasure to once again meet up with the Bella Blvd
team at the show!  The booth looked absolutely adorable and the contributing
designers' projects were seriously amazing!  Stay tuned for more new
projects in the coming weeks.
Have a great weekend!
