Next, I die cut the inner circle using a 1.75" circle die and hot glued it to the bottom of the cup. A smaller 1.5" circle die was used to die-cut the head. The wings were simply cut using the plaid paper from the Pumpkin Spice 6X6 Pad and the Leaf Die from the same Nesting Scallops die set.

Little kids and big kids and grown adults too, would love to be greeted with these cute TURKEY TREAT CONTAINERS; add a name tag and use them for your place settings as well!
Let me begin by sharing my YOUTUBE CHANNEL, where I have a complete step-by-step process video of how to put one of these together and all of the supplies needed.
I started with a 12x12 sheet of the Bon Bon Buffalo Check-Woodgrain patterned papers and adhered it to a heavyweight cardstock. Next, I die-cut the scallop shape using the next-to-the-largest die from the "Nesting Scallops" Doodle Cuts set. The outer scalloped circle fits nicely onto the plastic storage cup. I found a package of the disposable cups at the dollar store!
For the feet I used the square tag die from the Mini Tags Doodle Cuts and cut a piece from the orange woodgrain paper. The tab of the tag was trimmed off, the paper folded in half, and then glued to the bottom of the scallop. I also used one of the larger hearts, from the same die set, to die cut the wattle (I call it a goozle in the video hahaha!). The beak is a snip from the orange Paper Frills scalloped paper :)
A couple of black Sprinkles for the eyes, a bow and tag and it's ready for filling with treats!

I'm sharing a sweet little mini album using several of the

I'm sharing a sweet little mini album using several of the
A2 "Creat-A-Cards" and the "So Much Pun" Collection from
DOODLEBUG DESIGN
I turned the cards horizontally, with the openings to the right. A strip of patterned paper was cut to 9"X3.5" and scored in half. The paper was then attached to the front card flap ( and repeated for the following card fronts). For the cover: I did leave an opening along the top so that a tag could be included.
I used a binding system and metal comb to hold the pages together. After embellishing a metal-rimmed tag from my stash, I slipped it onto the comb.
In prepping all of the "card" pages, I attached mats of various patterns before setting out to add the embellishments.
To stretch the remnants of the 6X6 papers, a few of the pages used pieced papers for the mats; the seams were hidden with border stickers or washi tape!
For most of the 2.5"X2.5" cut-out cards, I made them inter-active by scoring an edge and attaching wtih adhesive tape. This is a great way to allow larger photos while still using larger design components.
A total of 4 of the "A2 Striped Assortment" Cards were used. After completion, there are a total of 16 pages! Use the same design concept to create a story flip-book or brag book for kids!

Easy Bunny Face Photo Prop
Even if you don't have this particular scrolled die by Spellbinders, any fun shape would do!
If you don't own a die-cutting machine, search the internet for shapes that you
can print and trace :) My bunny face consists of two large punched pieces using
Spellbinders' Labels Fourteen die and side B of the Unlimited Text paper.
glued a paper straw to one of the shapes and then sandwiched the two pieces
together with foam adhesive in between.
My inspiration for the prop came from a pin on Pinterest:

Carrot Treat Cones
Although my kids are older (20, 16 and 12) they still expect and look
forward to their Easter treat! These carrot cones were super simple to put together.
Start with a 6X6 square of the Carrot Starz paper. Cut the paper from one corner to
the opposite corner, rounding as you go. You may wish to use a template or create your
own and then trace the design onto the patterned paper. Roll the paper into a cone
shape and adhere at the seams with a high tack adhesive.
For the carrot's top, I cut a 3H" X 4W" strip of green cardstock and then
cut slits into the paper about 3/4 of the way down. Roll the ends of the strips if desired
and then attach to the inside (back) of the cone. Decorate the front with colorful punch-outs,
flowers and the child's initials. For display, I inserted a bamboo skewer through
the cone and then staked them into a bucket filled with floral foam covered in excelsior.
Fill with Easter grass and candies!

Kids Craft: Braided Twine Bracelet
School is out for Summer and that leaves a lot of little kiddies
without anything to do! We're teaming up this week at
DOODLEBUG DESIGNS
to bring several ideas of fun and easy crafts for kids of all ages!
Today, I have a fairly easy tutorial for a Braided Twine Bracelet
This is a great opportunity for children to learn to 'braid'
(I would rate this for ages 10 and up; younger children will need assistance)
Supply List: 12 Yards of Doodlebug Twine (any colors or combinations...I used 12 different colors),
Large Button, Large Embroidery Needle, Fray Chek Solution
- Cut (12) twelve 1-yard increments of desired twine
- Gather pieces together (by matching one end) and fold in half; trim off excess twine from the other end so that the pieces match up.
- At the center of the fold, tie a knot to form a loop. Make sure that the loop is large enough for the button to slip through.
- Loop the center loop over a bottle top or handle (as shown above)
- Divide the strands into three sections; each section will contain four strands of twine
- Braid the twine together until desired length has been achieved
- Knot off the end (see below) and cut off excess; dab on Fray Chek
- Using large embroidery needle and twine, stitch on large button over the knotted end
- Decorate as desired! Glue on beads, tie on extra buttons or leave plain.
