Sneak Peek
A Couple of Masked Bandits
Happy Hump Day!
Wednesdays are my days to blog over at
THE PAPER BAKERY
and I have a sweet layout up using the December Add-On Kit
I ran across this picture of my kids…it was actually one that my mom took several years ago.
I love how Sydnee’s mask is crooked and you can only see ONE eye hehehe!
I started with a piece of cardstock and began selecting the patterned papers
from the December Paper Bakery Kit that I wanted to use.
I knew that I wanted lots of black elements to bring out the black masks…
and doesn’t the black/white striped paper remind you of the old prison outfits?
LOL So I tucked a bit of it in as I began layering.
After punching out a few different sized stars, I covered them in
paper and then stitched around the edge. I cut the sentiment portion from the tag
(included in the December Add-On Kit) and corner rounded the edges for a nice effect.
I used my personal cutting machine to create the “bandits” part of the title
…for the “masked” part I just cut the letters from one of the Studio Calico papers from the kit!
I ended up with lots of lovely layers by using a couple of the journal cards and
by heavily matting the photo.
Finally…a photo that had been sitting in a box for years at last found a home :)
We’ll be sharing fun with the January Paper Bakery Kit SOON!
Here’s a little bitty peek at something that I came up with:
In the hunt for an original kit club?

I'll be sharing my newest layout for

tomorrow, but I didn't realize that I didn't blog
about the mini album that I posted last week...oops!
I've used the October Paper Bakery Scrapbook Kit and these adorable
house-shaped cut-outs from Michaels. Seems to be the perfect size for minis, which
are my first love when it comes to papercrafting…if I’m given a chance to do one, I do it LOL.
I used a Unity Stamp and I Top punch by Imaginisce in creating the
sun and clouds :)
First, I simply trace the house pattern onto desired paper, trim out
and begin embellishing. I also cut out a smaller photo/mat for each page.
I like to incorporate my favorite paper punches...they're great for
layering and adding a unique look to your album.
Mini albums are a terrific way to showcase a special event in your life!

We Dance Together
Hello!
Today is my very first post as a Design Team Member for
THE PAPER BAKERY
The October Scrapbook Kit, Welcome Home, includes the new
collection from Dear Lizzy...5th & Frolic, as well as
Amy Tangerine's Ready, Set, Go! This paper kit is just right for
any photos pertaining to home, love, family and happiness ♥
My project today is a 12x12 layout using one of the
Ready, Set, Go! papers, stickers from the 5th & Frolic sticker booklet
and other embellishments from the October Kit.
I took the 4x6 photo at the top and cropped the bottom two photos down so that
they would measure the same width across.
The kit also comes with this cool 1.5" chevron ribbon...it had me thinking "arrow" so
I cut one end into a point and the other into a dovetail. I also pleated the ribbon just
a bit to give it more dimension and interest.
The icing on the cake is when you get to start adding the extra little bits.
You know I love the 'visual triangle', so I formed one using small punched circles
and a few flecks of shimmery ink spray (I used Fireworks Pear Tart by Tsukineko)
I applied the small banner stickers with a foam dot and then strung a bit of
baker's twine over the top. Adding the bow at one end gives the appearance that
it's really suspended from the page :)
If you love Dear Lizzy and have been anticipating the release of 5th & Frolic, then
why not try The Paper Bakery if you haven't already :) And there will be mixed
media kits available as well...all monthly kits coordinate beautifully together!

I'm Baking at the Bakery!
Yep, that's right!
I'm a full-time baker now at
THE PAPER BAKERY KIT CLUB
(I know...that's corny with a side of cheese!)
Come and see, come and see!
Sarah's kits are one-of-a-kind as she creates a lot of the
very embellishments that go into each monthly kit(s).
When I came across The Paper Bakery at the beginning of the year,
I immediately signed-up! I fell in love with the unique mixed-media kits
offered, as well as add-on kits which feature the most up-to-date product.
I'll begin with these other lovely ladies in October, so stay tuned :)
Thanks for letting me share!
Back first thing in the morning with just a little bit more "news" hehehe

Love is all that matters
I managed to squeeze in a mini album this week.
These sweet Bella Blvd papers from the May Paper Bakery kit just kept staring
at me and I just had to use them!
{THE LOVE IS ALL THAT MATTERS}
Sydnee had a few Valentine's cards left over and I couldn't resist these chipmunks :)
The colors match perfectly with the Sunshine & Happiness papers.
Here are a couple of the inner pages...you can see all of them here.
