Canvased Imaginisce

Good Morning
Welcome to my installment of the
Imaginisce + Canvas Corp. Blog Hop

I'm really excited to share two projects that I created using products
from the two companies...I really had a fun time putting them together.
WHOOO IS YOUR BEST FRIEND
Canvas Tote Bag

Imaginisce Products: I-Rock Bling, Bling, Bling Iron-On Motif; Sole Sisters Tag;
Fabric Roly Rosies: Denim; Small Brad Daddies, XL Brad Daddies
Tools: Hybrid Petal Roller, I Rock Mini Iron, I Top Tool and Topper Templates
Canvas Corp Products: Canvas Flat Tote; Canvas Red Flower, Canvas Minis (star);
 Mini Clothespins (red); jute; Burlap sheet; Burlap Minis (Star);
Tattered Angels Mist (Be Mine), Canvas
Misc: Buttons, baker's twine and fabric

HOW TO ASSEMBLE
I took a sheet of the 12x12 burlap, folded it in half and freehand-cut the owl shape.
To do so, round the edge at the bottom of your cut, come up to a
point for the ears and then a final cut straight across.
 I applied the burlap to the Canvas Bag with a spray adhesive and a bit
of fabric glue around the edges.  I then outlined the owl shape in
 red/white baker's twine (I use Fabr-Tac).

For the beak, I took a small canvas star, spritzed it with
 Be Mine spray and then machine stitched
in red, just to give it a bit more color.  After gluing to the center of the burlap,
 I attached a border of red/white baker's twine and jute.

For the eyes, I assembled the Denim Fabric Roly Rosies.
  The centers of the eyes are Small Brad Daddies that I covered
in an old scrap of fabric ticking.
Two small black pom poms complete the eyes.

In doing the wings, I also freehand-cut the shapes from a scrap of canvas
...being sure to use a mirrored image for the second wing.
 I then used a spray adhesive to cover the canvas in a
red/white gingham fabric and then machine stitched around the perimeter.
 I attached the wings to the body with two XL Brad Daddies.
 For added color, I glued on a couple of yellow buttons.

In finishing, I ironed on the beautiful I Rock Bling motif.
 Then I added the sweet Red Canvas Flower  topped with two smaller
Denim Roly Rosies, a hand-cut star from burlap, a jute bow,
 red clothespin and the Best Friends tag from the Soles Sisters Collection.

I love that it's a bit kooky and a whole lotta fun :)  Any true owl lover would think it a HOOT!

BEST FRIENDS GIFTING CONTAINER
You know...the ones that look like sour cream comes in them??

Designer's Note: Open card; score at 2 inches on each side of fold;

 fold to resemble a sour cream container

 Imaginisce Products: Sole Sisters patterned papers, chipboard stickers and die-cuts;
 I-Rock Glitter Gems
Tools: POGO Adhesive and I-Rock Setter
Canvas Corp Products: Zebra Striped Skinny Card; Black/White Baker's Twine

This is really so simple...or you could make it as elaborate as you'd like :)
But for a quick container, or if you have a specific project of gifting in mind,
 these would work perfectly.  For a girly party: nail polish, nail decals, candies,
hair clips, lip gloss and other small things would be cute inside.
  Bridesmaid's gifts: Pandora beads, a bracelet, monogrammed keychain...
lots of possibilites with this nice-sized envelope to work with.

First, just score as shown.  Next, add a strip of patterned paper to cover
the middle seam...or a wide ribbon would work too.
Glue the long ends of your envelope together; allow
to completely dry.  Machine stitch (or glue) the bottom end.
  For the top end, your ends will meet in the
opposite fashion from the bottom (so instead of joining East and West,
 you'll be joining North and South).
I machine stitched the top end, but may want to simply hole punch a
couple of holes and then tie up with a pretty ribbon.
Finally, embellish as desired.  Easy and oh-so-cute!
