--You should be arriving here from Renee Aslette's Blog--

For the hop today, I've used the October Kit-of-the-Month!

As you can see, I've stamped the reindeer, holiday sentiment
and holly leaves with berries and trimmed out in different ways.
I colored in the holly leaves and added a sheen of glitter to
the little berries.  After cutting out the reindeer, I layered it
with a larger oval cut from Simple Stories Handmade Holiday!

Distressing the edges of the oval and banner lends to the homespun
feel of the papers used.

I love any circle-style stamps where I can punch them out
and then layer with a larger scalloped circle.  When I spotted
these adorable "Happy Halloween" circles in the kit, I knew they'd
be perfect for topping off these treat boxes for Sydnee's dance class party!

I've had these treat boxes for several years...so glad that we finally got to use them!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's all I have for today's hop...now time to head over to Shilo Miles' Blog!
Thank YOU

A Festive Christmas Countdown

First, I would like to extend my thoughts and heartfelt prayers
to all of my friends on the East Coast...stay safe out there, y'all!

Okay, really.
I don't know if this post was deleted from my blog or if I simply
failed to post it in the first place...but I cannot believe that you all
have missed out (hehehe) on one of my
Earth Friendly Friday Projects at Authentique Paper!

My husband gets tons of 'stuff' in the mail pertaining to his job:
samples, displays, packaging, etc.
And because his 'office' is his vehicle, he doesn't have the room to haul around
each and every thing that he's been sent.
Take this acrylic display for example...it
was set to go in the trash and I quickly grabbed it up!

Because you can find these frames just about anywhere,
I thought it would be a great
Earth Friendly Friday project :)

Are you ready to
COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS?
Gather up the papers & stickers from the
Festive Collection
and let's get started!
You will also need an 8.5 X 11 acrylic frame and dry-erase marker
I also used: sewing machine, Rolled Daisy Die and
Dainty Doily Die by mftstamps.com, flat-backed adhesive
pearls, Lollipop Font Die by Lifestyle Crafts, Cursif Font
svg cut, buttons and hand-cut banner and holly leaves.

I traced the banner from a negative space in a die-cut sheet.
Layer the round sticker onto your doily with foam dots.

I love the look of the two different stitches on the papers.
If you don't have a sewing machine handy, you could add a
pretty trim around the edges or hand-stitches.

Ahhh, Authentique Papers were made for dies!
Not all paper cuts and rolls as beautifully.  These little blooms went together so quickly.
I inserted a small foam dot into the center of each flower and then attached the pearl to it.
Although I hand-cut the holly leaves, you could use a punch, die-cut or leaf embellishments.

And for the pièce de résistance:
use a dry-erase marker to creatively countdown each
day until Christmas day.  Have fun coming up with different
scripts and fonts...make each day's countdown unique :)

Authentique Paper Supplies:
Festive: Jolly, Merry and Believe Patterned papers; Details 12x12 Stickers

That's all for tonight...Have a terrific week!

cards with bella

It's Thursday CARDS Day with
BELLA BLVD
For both of my cards today, I've used the brand spanking new
KISS ME COLLECTION!
Every single thing (except crochet thread) is from Bella Blvd!
For the leaves I used a heart punch...I wanted something different
and whimsical...I think it did the trick :)

For this, I embossed the kraft card in a swiss dot pattern to match
the Designer Tape, papers and chipboard letters!
Come on over to bellablvd.typepad.com today and
check out all of the inspiration!
I {heart} makin' stuff with Bella Blvd ♥

you know I love some buttons!

Mini Home

**If you are here for the Paper Issues/Unity Blog Hop click here**

I'll be sharing my newest layout for
THE PAPER BAKERY
tomorrow, but I didn't realize that I didn't blog
about the mini album that I posted last week...oops!

I've used the October Paper Bakery Scrapbook Kit and these adorable
house-shaped cut-outs from Michaels.  Seems to be the perfect size for minis, which
are my first love when it comes to papercrafting…if I’m given a chance to do one, I do it LOL.
I used a Unity Stamp and I Top punch by Imaginisce in creating the
sun and clouds :)

First, I simply trace the house pattern onto desired paper, trim out
and begin embellishing.  I also cut out a smaller photo/mat for each page.

I like to incorporate my favorite paper punches...they're great for
layering and adding a unique look to your album.
Mini albums are a terrific way to showcase a special event in your life!

Welcome to the Monday installment of the
EAD DESIGNS BLOG HOP & GIVEAWAY

Only one more Monday to share our EAD projects with you :(
As you probably know, EAD will no longer be taking orders and
will be closing their doors at the end of this month.
**You should be here from Rose's Blog**

My daughter went to her very first Halloween party over
the weekend.  I can't remember ever buying my kids a costume.
We've always used resources from around the house!
Yes, call me a tight-wad I don't care LOL
Let me share what she came up with....she called herself a 'nerd ballerina'
I thought she looked like Junie B Jones :)

Ahhh, thank goodness for Dance costumes, right!?!
She wanted a little 'hostess' gift for her friend, so
we came up with this:

Clear pillow boxes are just perfect for vinyl from EAD!
We literally finished this in 5 minutes...and her friend was
absolutely ecstatic!  Win, Win!

**Off now to visit Amy's Blog**
Glad you stopped by!

Believe In Yourself

Welcome to the
"Believe in Yourself" Blog Hop
sponsored by
Unity Stamp Company & Paper Issues

**You should be arriving here from Renee Aslette's Blog**

Being a part of both Design/Creative Teams makes this hop
even more exciting and fun for me!
Cassie (owner of Paper Issues) created some very special kits for us
to use in conjunction with Unity Stamps with the theme being:
Believe in Yourself

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we were
thinking pink, along with inspirational messages for all women, whether
they are a breast cancer survivor or not.  All women have been affected
in one way or another by this type of cancer.

For my project I have created a layout of my Mamaw Bea at her
90th Birthday Party.  In her 90 years she has been through so much:
losing two sons, a husband, parents, a grandchild and having been
in a major car wreck and dealing with the recuperation associated with that.
Through it all, she's been one to pull herself up by her boot-straps and
carry on.  Since her 90th birthday Mamaw has suffered from dementia and
failing health all-together.  But she's still as feisty as ever!
One of her sisters in the photo is a breast cancer survivor...I thought these
photos would be a nice tribute to these women of strength.

Along with the Paper Issues Kit, I've used these beautiful stamps by Unity:
After layering my patterned papers, I stamped on the grid image (love that!)
and used one of the sentiments on a kraft tag provided by Cassie.
I think that it all came together quite lovely ♥

May Arts + Vintage Street Market

Happy Friday, Happy Friday!
I have a project up today over at the
MAY ARTS & VINTAGE STREET MARKET BLOG HOP
I took a plain wooden door-knob hanger and covered in the
Marshall Matthew paper from the Family Fun Collection by
Vintage Street Market

I then embellished with a punch-out and cut-out accents from the
Party Games Paper Sheets & Tags.
After threading buttons from my stash with Licorice Twirly Twine,
I attached them to the banner with Dodz Adhesives by 3L.

For the bottom of the hanger, I looped different ribbons and lengths of
ribbons and attached.  Perfect for those scraps of ribbon that are too
small to make a bow out of.

In finishing, I trimmed the edge with a wide red jute cording.
I love that you could hang this from a door to welcome birthday party guests,
tie onto a wreath or fashion in a way so that it could be used as a centerpiece.
Best of all...it can be used again and again, year after year!

As you can see, this collaborative hop started on Monday and ends today.
If you haven't visited and love vintage and May Arts' ribbons, then you
must come by and see the other wonderful projects and ideas!

Have a terrific weekend!

Mornin' Y'all!
Welcome to this week's
UNITY STAMP HIP HOP
**You should be arriving here from Renee Aslette's Blog**

We've got prizes again this week,
 so don't forget to
comment as you hop!
Three lucky peeps will receive a
 $20 Unity Gift Certificate

I haven't had a chance to craft with one of
Authentique's newest collections, Original,
so I thought this hop the perfect venue to do so...
especially paired up with the gorgeous "Share Your Smile"
Itty Bitty Authentique/Unity co-branded stamp!

I stamped the wire dress form image in a vibrant blue
Kaleidacolor by Imagine Craft and colored in lightly with a blue watercolor.
All of the patterned papers and stickers are from the Original Collection.

I've had the pleasure of hosting this month's Unity Challenge: Pumpkins.
Here are two samples that I made for it!

Both were created using a shape and background stamp from the
Unity August Kit-of-the-Month
I invite you to come on over and play along with us!
**Deadline is November 14th**

Cards With Bella

Good Evening
I need to share my Bella Blvd cards for this week
before I forget!  Normally, it's Cards Thursday, but this week,
due to a BIG reveal tomorrow, we're having Cards Tuesday :)

I simply adore the characters from the "Too Cute to Spook" Collection!
This little mummy guy looks as though he should be holding something, so I
thought "banner!"  I took two matching Stick Pin Flags and a
Miniature Sticker and  made a banner that was pretty quick and easy to do.
Turn the two pins so that the pointy ends are facing each other.
wrap the tab from the sticker over the pins and then attach to your card
with foam dots on each piece.  I tied on a couple of buttons to hide the
pin part...fun!
Supplies:
Too Cute To Spook: The Boo Crew, Full Moon, Cute Cuts, Miniature Stickers; Button Market: Aqua Flowers; Flags: Birthday Boy 1, Birthday Boy 2; Designer Tape: Jail Bird

I love my leaf punch as I think every flower needs a leaf or two!
For this card I created the leaves by adhering a bit of Decorative Tape
to a piece of cardstock and then punched out. I did something similar with a chipboard tree
(seen HERE) by covering with strips of tape and then machine stitching the seams together!

Supplies:
Flirty: Bits A Bella, Label Additions Stickers, Heart Throb Paper; Sophisticates: Sprinklers & Lace Plum Paper; Ciao Chip Elements: Stars & Hearts; Designer Tape: Pickle Juice Chevron; Button Market: Hot Pink Flowers

Check back tomorrow for the newest
BELLA BLVD REVEAL!
Goodnight y'all
