Lovebirds

What's not to love about Doodlebug Designs' Lovebirds Collection?
Nothing that I can think of!  I had a ball creating this heart-shaped album with nothing
but goodies from Doodle Bug

I've had a package of chipboard 'conversation' hearts in my stash for quite a long time now.
They're a nice size and heavyweight and great for a mini album.

After tracing and cutting out the heart shapes from different Lovebirds papers, I used
a heart doily and a couple of oval die-cut shapes for the matting.  To achieve placement of
the sticker letters, I always start with the middle letter and work out on either side.  I overlapped each
one a bit so that I wouldn't run out of room.

And you know I love trimming out the edges of the album with twine
as an extra-nice finishing touch!

Areas of journaling are an important aspect to mini albums...at least I think so!
Whether it's a full page dedicated to journaling or just a side note, it's a good idea to make a
spot somewhere.  Doodlebug collections give a variety of options to your noting needs :)

Fun around every corner!  Mini notecards and envelopes, heart-shaped pearls and gems,
every color and pattern of washi under the sun.

Make a washi bow!  I applied a length of washi to a sheet of cardstock and then cut.
Using a stylus or pen, gently roll the washi-cardstock until you've formed two loops.  Just
take a scrap piece and glue around the center.

I love adding little details like stitching X's with twine or creating a sweet border effect.
With a piercing tool, mat, decorative template, twine and a large needle, you can create all sorts of
amazing designs to make your mini album or project unique!
