Little Yellow Bicycle + May Arts + Xyron

Little Yellow Bicycle is hopping with two great partners this week:
MAY ARTS & XYRON

In my last design team assortment from LYB I received a Chipboard Banner Kit and
I just could not wait to decorate it!  I thought the cute shapes would look darling dressed
up in Vintage Summer and beautiful May Arts ribbon

With the Chipboard Banner Mini Album you can mix the pages any way you'd like!
For this mini's cover I chose to layer the triangle shape onto one of the pennant shapes;
it added some extra dimension and I love the red checkered print as a backdrop for the embellishments.  Using the red swiss dot ribbon by May Arts, I created a couple of small ribbon roses for the front.

Xyron's Sticker Maker came in so handy when I got ready to add a border of ribbon to one of the pages.

As you can see, just insert the ribbon into the slot and pull the tape through on the other end.
When you peel off the backing you will find a nice, even layer of adhesive on whatever you've stickered!

After each page was embellished I attached them to the chipboard page using
Xyron's 1/2" Double-Sided High Tack Tape.  Mini Albums get a lot of hands-on treatment,
so a good high tack adhesive is a necessity.

A couple of pages showcasing some of the Vintage Bliss Collection's goodies.
Embossed stickers, chipboard pieces and a piece from the flower kit that was topped
with one of the new Nature's Wood Shapes.

I also ruffled a piece of gingham ribbon by adding pieces of 1/4" Double-Sided High Tack Tape
every inch and then folding the ribbon back onto the adhesive...there is no wrong or right way to do this...just have fun with it!

To the album rings I decided to knot some of the ribbons and then alternate those with ribbon bows.
Pretty ribbon adds charm and whimsy to any project.  After cutting the ends at an angle, I like to
dab on a no-fray solution.  I also added an edging of LYB's red jute twine around the perimeter
of each chipboard page...I love the fact that it hides places where the paper overlaps or isn't cut
straight...plus it adds color, dimension and a nice texture!

  1. Shellye, your album is gorgeous. You've thought of so many special little details with it like the twine on the borders and pleating the ribbon! Love how the colors all go together with the Summmer Bliss collection and the May Arts ribbon.
