Bottoms Up!

Celebrating a new addition in the family? Make a sweet Diaper Mini Album
using the A2 Diaper Card Die by
TOP DOG DIES
to commemorate the special occasion!

I had a blast making this little album.  I started with plain white cardstock and used it
as the base for both pieces of the album (the back panel and front panel).
To make the album extra sturdy, I die-cut the front panel from this adorable
patterned paper by Doodlebug Design.  I glued the patterned piece over the top
of the white cardstock using Zip Dry...quick and easy!

The back panel includes the tabs that slides easily into the slits found on the
front panel.  I did use a dab of glue so that the tabs can't slide out of place.

I only embellished the fronts of the diaper, but I did add a patterned paper to the
back; it makes a nice area for a photo.

The diaper card allows you to tuck into a tag or invitation.
For the album, I cut some white cardstock to 3X4 and then topped each one
with a patterned paper and a tab of ribbon by May Arts.

Around the leg opening, I added some yellow pom trim by May Arts Ribbon.
I used a crop-a-dile to punch holes in the side of each page and then added
a large ring to hold them all together.

Have a happy weekend!

Max's sister, Molly, is making her debut today at
BELLA BLVD

And YOU could possibly Win-it-before-you-can-buy-it!
Molly might be boy crazy and obsessed with text messaging her friends,
but deep down inside she wears an invisible crown & loves to sparkle & shine.
She’s a tween, full of spunk and flair, obsessed with taking selfies & dancing all night with her
girlfriends to her favorite playlist. Stay cool this winter with Molly from Bella Blvd.

Here is a peek of a card that I made with one of my favorite papers from the collection, Borders:

I just adore the sweet foxes...along with the throwback cassette tapes.
And aren't the colors yummy?!?

Max

Hello, hello!
Today we are taking a closer look at the
MAX COLLECTION by BELLA BLVD
 www.bellablvd.typepad.com
And YOU, my friend, will have the chance to:
WIN-IT-BEFORE-YOU-CAN-BUY-IT!
 Max is seriously cool.
He’s too old for toys, but totally interested in his new guitar and creating the perfect playlist to jam to. Instead of focusing on his homework Max dreams of being a rock star, going hunting with his friends someday, & even beginning high school with all the pretty girls. Chill out with Max from Bella Blvd.

Generally I am a "B" sided-paper-girl, but there is just something about the
Rock Star paper (side A) that does it for me!
I love Stephanie's hand-drawn art and these guitars are perfect in my book!

And as a cardmaker, I'm really lovin' the new Candid Cards
There are also several cards in each pack that you can journal on too!

Here is a look at the entire collection:

So those are two of my favorite picks from the Max Collection...

Copper Mountain Giveaway!

A few of us at Bella Blvd were invited to
make a couple of cards with the "Copper Mountain" Scrapbook Kit by
STUDIO CALICO
www.studiocalico.com

Studio Calico has been gracious enough to offer a Copper Mountain Card Kit
to one of my lucky readers :)  Be sure to leave a comment on this post
and we'll have a drawing next Monday!

The kit includes an exclusive wood veneer piece that I cut down to fit the card size.
I backed the veneer with punched circles of paper from the 6X6 Paper Pad and then
traced the shape onto the green diamond paper, cut out and adhered to the back.

Also found in the kit is the 12X12 "Snapshots" patterned paper by Bella Blvd.
Using a few watercolor pencils by Faber Castell, I colored in the houses and clouds
found in the design of the paper and then trimmed out.
You will also find the small heart print (which is Side "B" of the Snapshots paper)
in the 6X6 Paper Pad; here I die-cut it into an oval shape and then stamped the sentiment
(from the exclusive stamp set) over to the side.
One of the sweet puffy heart stickers, found in the kit,  was added to the door front.

The Copper Mountain Scrapbook Kit is still available, along with a couple of the
other monthly kits!  Check them out at Studio Calico!

A Giving Heart

Hello again!
I'm getting back on track this week with my Friday post for
TOP DOG DIES

By using the Heart Album Finishers Dies, this card came together within a few minutes!
I cut the patterned papers from Doodlebug Design's Lovebirds Collection.
To create the pocket for the gift card:

Apply foam dots to the back of the scalloped heart (making sure that there is
enough room for the card to be tucked into) and then attach it to the front of the heart.

I wanted to attach the heart to an actual 'card' so I folded a piece of white carstock
in half and placed the heart die along the crease (as shown above) before cutting.

Line the two pieces up and adhere together.

And now you have an area to write a little note!

Aside from a gift card, you can tuck in cash or your own handmade coupons.
February 14th will be here before we know it...this die-set will help you to create
all sorts of fun projects for the month of LOVE!

Make It & Bake It

Today I'm up with a handmade gift idea that will showcase your awesome crafty,
as well as yummy baking skills.  I recently ran across a similar idea in a magazine and
thought it would be the perfect project to make with the new "Wishes" Collection by
AUTHENTIQUE PAPER
blog.authentiquepaper.com

This unique cookie, treat box uses just one 12X12 sheet of paper and a section of acetate
overlay. (I had a few of these in my stash that had printing on one end...
I just trimmed the printed end off and used the clear portion for the top).

To make the box:
1. Score "Merriment" 12X12 paper at 1.5", 3" 4.5", 7.5", 9" and 10.5" marks;
 turn paper horizontally
2. Score paper at 1.5" and 10.5"
3. Fold the 3" and 9" score marks in towards the center of the paper

 4. Fold the 4.5" and 7.5" score marks up to form the 'sides' of the box
5.  Turn the paper; fold in at the 1.5" and 10.5" score marks.

6. Where the horizontal and vertical score marks intersect, cut a slit into the paper
just up to where the marks meet; glue edges together to form box shape
7.Cut a piece of acetate to measure 5.5" X 9"; score (lengthwise) 1.5" from each edge and crease the acetate.  Apply high-tac adhesive to ONE of the sides and adhere to the inside of the box.
8.       Embellish the top of the box with ribbon, doilies and pieces from the
"Wish" Enhancement and Details sheets.

You may wish to line your box with wax paper or tissue before filling with goodies.
Now, who wouldn't want to receive such a sweet treat!?!
