Monday Give-A-Way & Blog Hop

It's time for the Monday Giveaway and Blog Hop
with EAD Designs!
You should be here from the EAD Blog...if not, be sure to check in there
and take a gander at this week's giveaway :)

When I spotted this BBQ Block Art

I knew that I needed it and exactly what I would do with it once I got it. We have a comfy backyard patio where we do a lot of grillin' and sittin' during the nice weather. I have red, blue and clear decorative lights strung up across the covered portion of the patio, so I chose the colors of red and blue for my Block Art!
And here
is
what
I
did

I removed a cover from a 3-ring binder (this was not your average cardboard covered in plastic binder, but a white acrylic type binder).  I trimmed it down to size, applied the Block Art and then punched holes in all four corners.  Threading a small gauge wire through each hole, I then attached it to the back side of a grapevine wreath.  Deciding that this would be the most perfect Memorial Weekend, Fourth of July and Labor Day decoration, I dressed up a chipboard star with red, white and blue ribbons, a  huge gingham bow and button.  I then twisted a few colored pipe cleaners around a pencil and then glued them into the wreath.
Now, how fun is that?!?  I couldn't wait to share it with ya'll :)
Thanks for visiting, now it's time to hop on over to Lauren's blog:

These babies are DA BOMB!
Come on over and check out what's in store for this week's hop...I'll be featured on Wednesday and will be showcasing my Imaginisce/3L Scrapbook Adhesives project here that day also.

MY SCRAPBOOK NOOK
Have you seen the February Nook kit?
It is a-dor-able!
This isn't my design month with The Nook, so my plans are to create a mini album with some of the sweet papers and embellishments from October Afternoon's Sasparilla.  I have quite a few photos of my daughter riding her horse, so I'll scrapbook at least one or two pages with it as well.
It's so cute, I almost hate to cut into it, know-what-I-mean?
Also, at last check, there is a fabulous grab bag that will be sent with first time subscribers!

That's about all for today...thanks for stopping by!
