Isn't this just the greatest idea, ever? (scrapbooking wise, anyway)
Welcome to my contribution to the
SIMPLE STORIES
DECEMBER DAILY BLOG HOP
I'm so glad that you're joining us...I can't wait to hop around
myself and see how the girls have decorated their SN@P Albums
December Daily style :)
**You should be arriving here from Rebecca Keppel's Blog**
I have quite a few photos to share, so I'll leave most of them in a
smaller size. Just click on each one to enlarge.
My vision for the album was to mix 'n match
Handmade Holiday, SN@P and Year.O.Graphy
I wanted bright colors mixed in with more shabby-distressed look
that Simple Stories is known for.
For the cover, I took a bright Turquoise Dot SN@P paper and a strip
from Year.O.Graphy and stitched them together. The title is a compilation of
sevearl SN@P sticker elements.
chevron ribbon by May Arts; baker's twine by The Twinery; misc
buttons and lace from my stash.
Using one of the SN@P Album inserts, 4x6 card and numeral stickers, I
created a calendar where I can make a notation of any events going on
throughout the month. I love documenting all of the fun happenings.
Hustle & Bustle is my thang!
Again, I mixed 'n matched different 4x6 journal cards from the collections
and embellished with holiday goodies. Wrapping a piece of ribbon around the
center of the 4x6 pockets helps to keep the lower cards from sliding out.
Spell out each day or use the actual numerals...I love it!
Binder clips adorned with knotted ribbons not only adds interest and texture,
but it also keeps the inserts from sliding around.
3-D stickers, brads or buttons can also be added to the outside
of the clear, plastic sleeves.
Don't you just love the contrast between the bright of the SN@P
papers with the distressed of Year.O.Graphy?
It turned out even prettier than I had envisioned in my mind's eye :)
Change things up a bit by adding the various dividers to create
sections for topics such as: wish lists, recipes, to-do's, ideas, etc.
I didn't machine-stitched on every page, but I thought it was a nice touch
to spread throughout the album.

Add a pocket as a storage place for receipts that you'll want to keep up with.
Add a blank page for each member of your family so that they'll have
a spot to jot down their very own favorite holiday memory!
What a keepsake...I can't wait to start snapping pictures on
December 1st and begin filling up my album :)
That's as far as my album goes for now....
