Magical BIrthday Mini Album

Unicorns and bright, candy colors make the perfect setting for any girl's birthday album! 
  I'm sharing one of my favorite go-to mini scrapbook albums using the
 "Lots of Luck" Collection.  This collection is filled with unicorns, hearts, 
flowers and other non-St. Patrick's Day icons so think of it for your next project!


To get started I chose three sheets of the Petite Print Swiss Dot papers 
and cut them in half as follows:
Green Dot: cut at 5"= 5" and 7" Pages
Pink Dot: cut at 5.5"= 5.5" and 6.5" Pages
Orange Dot: cut at 6"= one 6" page
Next, score all of the pages in half so that they measure the 
height (above) and 6" wide.  Apply a strong adhesive to the bottom opening to
 create a pocket for each page.  I chose to use a binding machine to die-cut the
 holes, so that was also done before the pages were decorated.






Each of the pages were embellished with a photo mat and other components 
such as washi tape, enamel dots, icon die-cuts, stickers and 3D embellishments.  
I also used the cut-apart journal cards to create small pockets on the pages.
  Simply add a thin-width adhesive along the bottom and sides and 
then slip in a tag or two!






I used a sentiment from the new "Rainbows & Unicorns" Doodle Stamps 
for the tag on the cover.  The set includes a lot of generic sentiments that
 can be sprinkled throughout the album.

Our Love Soars Pocket Mini

Don't you love giving handmade? 
 Today I have a really quick and easy "French Kiss" Mini Album that
 features pocket pages that can hold tags, handmade coupons, gift cards, etc. 
 It's double-the-fun!

To begin, I sorted through the patterned papers and components from the 
collection and chose several of the pieces sans red accents.  
Next, I cut three different papers into 9"X6" strips;  you will be able to 
et two pocket pages from each 12X12 paper.  
Reserve the leftover paper for photo mats.


Each of the six 9"X6" strips were scored at: 3" and 7"; turned and scored at 5.5". 
 The papers were folded along the score lines and the flaps
 secured with a permanent adhesive tape. 


The fronts and backs of the pocket pages were accented with 3"X4.5" photo 
mats that were cut from leftover papers, as well as papers from the 6X6 Paper Pad.



I created grassy hills using a circle die and Limeade Petite Print Swiss Dot paper.  
This is a perfect way to anchor pieces such as lampposts, puppies and people!



To finish, a small hole was punched at the top left of each pocket page 
and a binder ring strung through to hold the pages together.  
Die-cut tags were added to the pockets and embellished at the tops with 
mini paper clips and die-cut hearts.  It may be mini, but there are tons 
of places to add photos, journaling and keepsakes!

French Kiss Mini Album

Hi friends!
I'm sharing today over at the Doodlebug Design Blog
This sweet "French Kiss" Mini Album will have you saying "oooo la la!" 


On a recent trip to the Dollar Tree, I found a cute wall hanger:


  This hanger included four heart-shaped chipboard pieces that were the perfect size
 for a mini album.  I cut it apart the strand of hearts and used them as the five base pages:


With one side of the chipboard heart already glittered, I simply added
 a few layers of stickers and die cuts.  To the plain back-side of the heart: 
I traced the shape onto patterned paper, trimmed out and then attached with craft glue.
 The chipboard is quite thick, so I was also able to adorn the edges with chunky twine!







After all of the pages were decorated, I assembled them by creating a hole in the top left corner of each page and then used a white shower hook to hold them together.  I love using these hooks for mini albums so that they can easily be hung from a hanger or knob!

Business Card Mini Album

Happy Friday!
Today I'm sharing a trash-to-treasure mini album idea.
  My husband was going to trash his old business card holder,
 but he gave it to me to see what I could do with it. 
 So I re-purposed it to a "Winter Business Card Mini Album"


I've used the Snow & Cocoa collection from Crate Paper and lots of adhesives
 from Scrapbook Adhesives:


For the business card holder that I have, you can find ones online.
 Mine includes 12 individual clear pages with three slots for cards on a page.


To begin, I cut enough base papers to fill each of the card slots. 
I used the E-Z Runner® Grand Ultra Strong Refill to attach two
 (non-double-sided papers) back-to-back.


For the front cover of the binder,  I wanted a good secure hold for the cover
 paper so I chose the Adhesive Sheets 6 x12 inch for attaching my patterned paper.




 Afterward, I decorated the front with die-cut elements using
 the 3D Foam Circles White Mix. To create glittery snow drops, a combination
 of Adhesive Dots Small and Adhesive Dots Medium were used by
 simply adding clear glitter on top.



The Extreme Double-Sided Tapes worked best for attaching
 any of the embellishments to the top of the plastic.
  I also used the Adhesive Dots Small for adding the buttons throughout the album.

Basically, I left one section available for a photo and filled the other 2/3 of the
 I will think of this little mini as a place to store pieces for my planner,
 stamps, gift cards, small photos, etc!

A New Team

Hey, y'all!
Now that the "Seasons Givings" Hop is over
