Greetings! Yesterday I was up on the
with a couple of takes on fun finds found on Pinterest.
I went in search of things that reminded me of Spring:
rain showers, umbrellas, Easter eggs, rabbits, etc.
In doing so, I came up with these two pins that inspired the cards featured here.
We are calling this ‘Pinfluence.”
Both of my cards were created using the brand new “Hello Sunshine Collection”
For my first card, I've used this vintage Easter postcard:
Next, I went on hunt to find the perfect cutting file that combined a similar bunny and Easter eggs.
Following the color pattern, I selected various papers from Hello Sunshine and began
cutting all of the pieces. The end result is this nostalgic card:
Before assembling the pieces, I did add some shading around the edges with chalk.
Foam adhesive also gives more personality as you begin layering on the pieces.
The egg was also decorated in iridescent glitter, a vellum word and a couple of strands
of baker’s twine glued into place.
I think that the Puddle Jumper Paper is the perfect background for the bunny card…
after-all, a little rain never stopped the Easter bunny :)
My next point of inspiration is a photograph that I found on Pinterest:
I was enamored by the cool rings created by the drops of rain and brought that look to my next card
To create the background, I started with a piece of paper cut from the Happy Days Paper.
To that I added raindrops using a stencil and Pearl Modeling Cream; this gives a nice dimension to the background. Allow the modeling cream to dry and then begin embellishing.
For the puddle I used nesting circle dies and cut out various patterns and then layered them
together with foam adhesive. For the sentiment, I trimmed down one of the vellum tags
and attached it to the side of the puddle with glue dots.
Add even more dimension to the raindrops with those adorable Puffy Stickers.
